Jake Williams – Pre-litigation Executive
I’m from Carlisle (wasn’t made in the Royal Navy) and went to The University of Manchester to study law.
After graduating in 2020 I joined Groundswell Innovation as a Business & Marketing Research Assistant which involved undertaking market research for clients across a range of industries, running stakeholder engagement workshops and being responsible for social media communications.
In my spare time I enjoy listening to and writing music. I’m also a keen sports fan, especially football. I also play snooker for a team back in Carlisle.
How did you find the recruitment process at Fuse?
The recruitment process was quite different to some of the other processes I have been through. It was very thorough and involved completing a DISC profile, which matches your personality profile to a job role.
I also went through 2 in-person interviews and a trial day which gave me a good feel for the culture of the company and atmosphere of the office.
What attracted you to the role?
This role interested me because I felt it would give me valuable experience and be a great start to my legal career.
The fact that they are enthusiastic to develop young talent and help people reach their full potential was a big factor for me. I like the idea of growing alongside Fuse and being a part of their journey.
What have you found to be the biggest challenge?
I’ve just been set up on my own computer so getting to grips with the case management system.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Fuse?
The people – there is a very friendly culture in the office that makes you feel comfortable and part of the team.
